Success in School/Skills for Life Online Resource Kit
The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has created this electronic "Success In School/Skills for Life" Online Resource Kit to help schools provide parents easy access to basic information about their children's academic, emotional, and social development. School psychologists are trained to identify and help address a wide range of issues that can impact a child's school experience. They are an important resource for parents, teachers, and students.

Collaborative for Acadmic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL)
SEL is a process for helping children and even adults develop the fundamental skills for life effectiveness. SEL teaches the skills we all need to handle ourselves, our relationships, and our work, effectively and ethically.

Inventory of Practices for Promoting Children's Social Emotional Competence
This tool is designed to be used to plan a course of action to promote social emotional competence of young children. The tool encompasses four general areas: (a) building positive relationships; (b) creating supportive environments; (c) social emotional teaching strategies; and (d) individualized intensive interventions. The Inventory encourages individual self-reflection, opportunities for teaming between classroom teachers, mentor coaches, supervisors, site directors, and other administrators, and promotes effective practices for direct service staff.

Originally appearing in CASEL's book, Promoting Social and Emotional Learning: Guidelines for Educators, this guide is designed to help you reflect on SEL practices at your school. The questions ask about social and emotional learning goals and activities, classroom-based skills instruction, coordination and integration, and social and emotional learning planning and evaluation.

National Association of State Directors of Special Education
